Please see below the actions we are taking here at The Rocky Cove Bed & Breakfast to help fight the battle against Covid 19 and keep you safe and reassured during your stay with us.

 

Upon arrival please use the hand sanitiser found at our front door to clean your hands prior to ringing the doorbell.

 

We will greet you wearing facemasks and show you to your room/rooms. We will keep to the allotted safe distance during your stay with us and if you require help with bags etc. we will wear disposable gloves to carry your bags to your room/rooms for you.

 

There will also be hand sanitiser found through-out our B&B for you to use whilst indoors but please leave it in the place you found it so other guests can use it too, thanks.

 

We only have 4 rooms here so breakfast can still be served if all 4 rooms come down at the same time as our tables are the agreed 2m distance apart from each other and we have a large dining room.

 

Both myself and Nicki will be wearing PPE during breakfast and regularly cleaning our hands of course, as we have always done.

 

We will keep close contact to a minimum.

 

We have slightly changed how we set our tables out at breakfast too. You will now have milks, juices and cereal at your table instead of at a communal servery where people may come into contact with each other.

 

We already carry very high cleaning standards here at The Rocky Cove but we will be regularly cleaning and sanitising all door handles, handrails etc. that people come into contact with on a regular basis.

 

There will be a cleaning tick box sheet visible in the hallway so you can see the cleaning has taken place on a regular basis through-out the day

 

All of our plates and cutlery are washed in a dishwasher so are perfectly clean after every service.

 

We do service your rooms daily here to make the beds, change towels and empty your bins etc. If you would prefer us not to enter your room during your stay please let us upon arrival?

 

All rooms are cleaned and sanitised after every guest checks out.

 

We don't employ any other staff so we only have ourselves and our guests entering the B&B. We also clean and press all of our bedding and towels so no risk of infection coming in from outside contractors.

 

We ask guests to respect other guests space and worries about the virus and to keep socially distant from each other during your stay where possible, especially if congregating in the hall or going up and down the stairs for example.

 

If you have booked with us directly or through a channel in which we have to take payment from you, we have a new system that allows you to pay us via your smartphone or laptop. Upon arrival we will send you an invoice that you can then pay without having to use our chip and pin machine, minimising the chances of coming into to close a contact with each other.

 

These are indeed strange and worrying times for us all and we hope you can understand that we are doing everything we can to help reassure you during your stay with us? If you have any further queries or suggestions on how we can improve our action plan please let us know?
